Português: Imagem do Mar de Weddell, na Antártica com cerca de 52 km x 30 km, com iceberg tabular, na sexta passada. A 74 graus S, iceberg com 10 km2, e se distingue das placas de banquisa de água do mar congelada em sua volta pela grande espessura. Enquanto a água do mar congelada aí tem em torno de 1 metro de espessura, esse iceberg, fragmento do Escudo de Gelo Ronne, tem +200 metros. Com isso, a parte dele acima do nível do mar tem uma elevação de +50m, veja sombras e borda iluminada. A superfície da água do mar sem gelo aparece em preto / Image of Weddell Sea in Antarctica about 52 km x 30 km with Tabular iceberg, last friday. At 74 degrees S, iceberg with 4 mi2, and contrasts with surrounding sea ice by it thickness. While frozen sea ice floes are around 3 feet thick, this iceberg, a chunk of Ronne Ice Shelf, has 600 ft. Then, it is 170 ft above sea level, see its shadows and bright border. Open sea water surface appears in black.
