Description
English: Watercolour of Jordan's York Hotel in the 1830s, which was located on the south side of King Street East, between Ontario & Princess Streets. Future site of the Toronto Sun newspaper. Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Probably based on a drawing by Henry Scadding. A pen & ink version was reproduced in Evening Telegram series "Landmarks of Toronto" on 28 August 1888, and in "Landmarks of Toronto" v.1, p. 14.
