Object history
Deutsch: Das in Oberösterreich einzige Pfarrpatrozinium der hl. Radegundis, Namengeberin des Ortes, merowingisch-fränkische Königin und später Gründerin des Frauenklosters St-Croix in Poitiers, ist durch die Krone im oberen Wappenfeld symbolisch vertreten. - Die Hirschstange im unteren Feld soll an die seinerzeit häufig abgehaltenen Hofjagden der bayerischen Herzöge im Oberen Weilhartforst erinnern. - Der rot-silber geschachte Schrägbalken ist das Wappen der ehemaligen, am linken Ufer der Salzach gelegenen, Zisterzienser-Abtei Raitenhaslach; das Kloster war bis zur Säkularisierung des Kirchengutes 1803 Grund- und Patronatsherr der Kirche von St. Radegund.
