English: Wangeci Mbogo is a Christian/Gospel music artist and songwriter from Kenya.
Wangeci has sang for over 30 years and recorded her first solo album entitled “Apewe Sifa” in 2004. Over the years she has recorded more than 40 songs. She mainly sings in the English and Kiswahili languages and her music albums consist of songs blended in these two languages. Her music is available on iTunes/Apple Music, Amazon amongst other international digital music sites. Wangeci has also won several international awards, namely: - Hardrush Independent Music Awards in Australia in the “Best Jazz/World Music Award” category. - Newsome Awards in the U.S. in the “International Artist of the Year Award” category. - Australian Independent Music Video awards in the "Best International Music Video" category; - Australian Independent Music Video Awards in the "Best Independent Music Video – Africa” category. In addition, Wangeci has had the privilege of getting nominations in several international awards namely: - Newsome Awards in the U.S. in the “Best International Solo Artist Nominee” category. - American Gospel Music Awards in the U.S. in the “International Artist of the Year Finalist” category. - Gospel Awards in the U.S. in the “International Artist Award Nominee” category. - Musicoz Awards (Australian Independent Music Awards) in the International Artist category. |
