| Description |
English: Walled garden, Castle Park On the edge of Castle Park in Bangor is an old walled garden dating from around the 1840's. Long neglected, it has been undergoing a regeneration over the past 18 months. It is due to open in April 2009 but visitors have been allowed a sneak preview of the work so far. Lots of landscaping and planting has been carried out, but there is little growth as yet. The most striking aspects are two new installations - the major piece is the central water feature called ‘The Twister Twisting’ 4100890 ; nearby is a sculpture called the ‘Curved Horn’ 4100896 . A new glasshouse 4100979 has also been erected. |
