| Description |
Sodium lights plus an approaching storm make for some lurid colors. This isn't any one of the obvious railroad viaducts, either; note the angle. Hint: it's a spur, not even on any map but plainly visible from a section line street and obviously not really used anymore. Note how close the buildings on the right get to it. Spurs typically branch off of railyards, not mainlines, and this is no exception; yards also typically separate neighborhoods, and this is also no exception in that regard. It's also within the realm of my usual travels, which really don't stray very far from downtown. It's painted yellow for visibility since it traverses a street which, while not very heavily traveled, would have many tall vehicles approaching. |
