Description
English: Photo taken at the Lofoten War Memorial Museum (Norwegian: Lofoten Krigsminnemuseum) in Svolvær, Norway's largest exhibition of uniforms and smaller items related to the Second World War and the German occupation of Norway 1940 – 1945:
  • (Mannequin dressed in a Waffen-SS uniform winter suit (Winteranzug, Winterausrüstung) and equipped as a German WWII soldier serving on the North front)
  • Pulk, a Nordic short, low-slung small transport sled pulled by a dog or a skier:
    • Panzerfaust, an inexpensive, single shot, recoilless German anti-tank weapon of World War II
    • First aid kit in equipment boxes: Erste Hilfe, Verbandkasten (Kasten zur Aufbewahrung von Verbandmaterial, Instrumentarium und Medikamenten für Erste Hilfe) etc.
    • MG 42 (Maschinengewehr 42"), a general-purpose machine gun used extensively by the Wehrmacht and the Waffen-SS
  • Gløtt av Norge, painting of a young woman and a reindeer by Norwegian illustrator and poster artist Harald Damsleth promoting tourism in Norway
  • Airtight wooden box containing ammunition (Wehrmacht Munitionskiste) with text in German: Oben. Nicht werfen! Luftdicht verpackt.
  • Traditional made neverkont (Kiepe) bag, backpack
  • Mannequins in traditional Sámi fur clothing (winter garments):
