Summary[edit]

Description
English: Military equipment used during the German invasion and occupation of Norway in World War 2:
  • A uniform tunic (Waffenrock) of the German Army (Wehrmacht Heer)
    • Embroidered National Emblem (Hoheitszeichen, Wehrmachtsadler, "Army eagle", Brüstadler, "breast eagle") over right breast pocket
    • Ribbon of the Iron Cross. The ribbon of Iron Cross 2nd Class (Eisernes Kreuz 2. Klasse, abbreviated as EK II or E.K.II.) was worn from the second button in the tunic, or, when in formal dress, the entire cross was worn mounted alone or as part of a medal bar.
    • Collar patches (Kragenpatten, Kragenspiegel) with embroidered double bars/braids (Doppellitze) for officers and green Waffenfarbe
    • Shoulder-straps ((Schulterklappen) showing the rank insignia of a Leutnant and the number of Gebirgsjäger-Regiment 139
    • Gebirgsjäger (a soldier in the German mountain units) cloth badge on upper right sleeve
