Description
English: Frontkjempermerket ("Front Fighter Badge" or "Eastern Front Badge") was a military decoration during World War II awarded to some of the Norwegian volunteers in German Waffen-SS on the eastern front from 1943. Also pin with Eagle and suncross emblem of Norwegian Facist Party Nasjonal Samling before and during WW2. Photo taken on March 31, 2019 at the Armed Forces Museum (Forsvarsmuseet) in Oslo, Norway.
Norsk bokmål: «Frontkjempere», norske frivillige i i Waffen-SS-avdelinger på østfronten, mottok tyske militære dekorasjoner under andre verdenskrig, men kunne også få Frontkjempermerket som var designet av Harald Damsleth og ble lansert i 1943. Jakkenåla i etuiet ble lagd av gullsmedfirmaet David Andersen i Oslo og er dekorert med «solørnen» (ørn og solkors), partimerket til Nasjonal Samling (NS), norsk fascistparti før og under krigen. Bildet er tatt i mars 2019 på Forsvarsmuseet i Oslo.
