Summary[edit]

Description

Here's a nice view of the right side of the cockpit. Lets talk about the colors here for a moment.

The vertical surfaces fore and aft are black* (meaning "*black and various dark, dark, grays"), with a variety of black*-faced round instruments, light gray and black* knobs and controls.

The inside of the canopy roof is a warm, light gray, the work-surface of the aft stations is a dark reddish brown (phenolic?) and the metal parts of the aft facing seats are a faded green-gray, something like the WWII "interior green/gray" fuel and hydraulic-fluid-proof paint. Upholstered surfaces on all 5 seats are a medium brown vinyl, "Dark Earth" essentially. The floor is anyone's guess!

The big, round, 'scope on the left is a light gray-green phosphor, a little, rectangular 'scope you can see in other photos is an orange phosphor. Electrical connectors appear to be bare die-cast zinc/pot-metal or possibly aluminum. Cables are shiny black*. The gray thing hanging from the overhead is probably for breathing air/oxygen, and there are black and yellow striped pull-cords with white knobs at the bottom hanging over the seats. Canopy jettison pulls?

There's a big yellow and black striped pull handle at the top-center of the instrument glare shield, and some yellow and black striped panel area below it. Canopy jettison and engine fire alarms? Extinguishers?

The bright red rectangle in the middle of the aft panel is featureless- a safety cover? Classified control cover/boo-boo plate? The four throttle handles on the center pedestal are off-white, possibly a translucent/silvery color. Joy sticks and grips are black, as is most stuff in the pilots' line of sight. Black gasketing around the port-holes in the canopy sides. Some black* control and instrument panels on either side of the aft controls.

There isn't much yellow, green, red or orange to accent the black and white
