Description
English: intersection of Two Cones having double contact with one another, that is to say, having a pair of tangent planes in common. The consequenee of their having double contact is that their curve of Intersection breaks up into two plane ellipses. The vertices of the cones slide along a rule which turns on a universal joint. العربية: ينتج القبو المتصالب من تقاطع اثنين من الاسطح المخروطية ( بما في ذلك الاسطوانة كحالة خاصة للمخروط) بشرط ان يكونا متساويين ومحاورهما متحدة المستوى. بشكل عام، خط التقاطع بين اثنين من الاسطح المخروطية يكون منحنى ثلاثي الابعاد، لأن يشارك انحناءات السطحين ؛ لكن في بعض الأحيان يكون مستويا، وهذا يحدث ، في حالة وجود مستويين متماسين لهما.
