Deutsch: Fenster während des Installationsprozesses von Windows 98 SE. Aus urheberrechtlichen Gründen wurden die Piktogramme oben links entfernt. Hier wird über die Hardwareerkennung informiert, die auf Plug & Play-inkompatible Geräte abzielt. Plug & Play bezeichnet ein Prinzip, wo angeschlossene Peripheriegeräte sofort einsatzbereit sind, und keine eigenständige (Treiber-)Installation vonnöten ist. Dieser Fortschrittsbalken besteht aus mehreren blauen Rechtecken.
English: Window during the installation process of Windows 98 SE. For copyright reasons, the pictograms at the top left have been removed. Here information is provided about hardware detection, which targets Plug & Play incompatible devices. Plug & Play refers to a principle where connected peripherals are immediately ready for use, and no separate (driver) installation is required. This progress bar consists of several blue rectangles.
