Summary[edit]

Description

The caption on the verso side of this historic picture postcard from my collection says:

"WOOLWORTH BUILDING AND POST OFFICE, New York City. New York may justly be proud of its skyscrapers, especially the Woolworth Building, for no other city in the world can boast of more modern achievements. Besides being the tallest building in the world it is situated in the heart of the busiest section, close to the old post office. Approximately one million people pass to and fro each day."

The postcard was sent from New York to Duisburg, Germany, in July 1926.
