The sketch shows the stone bridge of eighteen arches that was erected in 1837 to span the Jordan Creek and its valley at what became Hamilton and Race Street. It also illustrates the two buildings of the North Amerian Academy of the Healing Arts, the Lehigh County Courthouse, and the second church building of First Presbyterian Church.
