English: Victory Jetty with HMS Daring tied up The new type 45 destroyer, HMS Daring, ws open to the public this weekend for the first time, prior to her commissioning on July 23rd 2009. I was told that the masts are painted black purely for cosmetic reasons, so that soot emanating from the funnel (the square-shaped grey thing between the two masts) does not show on the paintwork. |
