Funchal, ilha da Madeira.

Victor Câmara (1921-1998) nasceu em Ponta Delgada, em 1921, e nessa cidade termina o curso industrial. É, no entanto, com os professores Domingos Rebelo e Viçoso May que aprofunda a sua verdadeira vocação como pintor, sendo as suas obras o retrato fiel das paisagens açorianas. Os seus trabalhos estiveram em exposição no no Funchal por duas vezes: a primeira numa exposição promovida pelo próprio na Pensão Voga em agosto de 1947 e outra no Teatro Municipal, em janeiro de 1948, integrada no âmbito da exposição de produtos da Ilha de São Miguel, promovida pelo diretor da Sociedade Terra Nostra, dos Açores. Expôs por diversas vezes em Ponta Delgada, nos Açores, bem como na Sociedade Nacional de Belas-Artes em 1950, (onde foi distinguido com medalhas na categoria da aguarela); em 1983 na Galeria do Diário de Notícias, tendo como tema a cidade de Lisboa. Em 1989, a Câmara Municipal de Oeiras, homenageia-o com a atribuição de uma Medalha de Ouro.
