| Description |
English: Variraptor mechinorum of the Departemental Museum of Var, in Toulon, France, conjectural restitution. All paleoart works can be disputed, because colors are actually unknown (except in very rare cases) and objections concerning the presence of feathers and the pronation of the limbs are only valid if the fossils offer certainty, that the paleoartist would have ignored. This certainty is lacking for Variraptor mechinorum which may had filamentous protofeathers, according with A. Feduccia, T. Lingham-Soliar and J.R. Hinchliffe, «Do feathered dinosaurs exist?
