Description

press release: Varanasi: Thousands of devotees including foreign tourists thronged the Ganga riverbanks to witness age-old traditional festival and fair 'Nag Nathaiyya Leela' here at Tulsi ghat on Sunday. The mythological belief associated is that Kaliya, a resident serpent of river Yamuna troubled the natives of Mathura and it was Lord Krishna who tamed this evil snake by dancing on its hood, hence, rescuing the natives from its terror. The occasion witnessed a congregation of thousands of devotees on the famous Tulsi ghat on the banks of river Ganga. timesofindia.indiatimes.com/city/varanasi/Thousands-witne...
