Description
English: The alter and alter piece in the Church of Vágur, Suðuroy, Faroe Islands (Vágs kirkja). The church was built in 1939. The alter piece (the painting) was painted in 1864 by Th. Wegener from Vallekilde in Denmark (born 1817, died 1877). The stained glasses were painted in 1959 by Ernst Trier from Denmark.
Dansk: Kirken i Vágur på Færøerne blev indviet i 1939. Altertavlen som hænger over alteret er malet i 1864 af danskeren Th. Wegener fra Vallekilde. Glasvinduerne blev malet i 1959 af Erns Trier.
Føroyskt: Altarið og altartalvan í Vágs kirkju suðuri í Vági.
