Summary[edit]

Description
English: Pillar box in Reigate, Surrey, England. Postboxes usually bear the cypher of the monarch who was reigning when the box was made. This one is anonymous, a feature of boxes made by Andrew HAndyside & Co between 1879 and 1887. The position of the opening implies that this box dates from 1883 onwards, earlier ones having the aperture higher up (e.g. see 1131685).
