Those in the Triangle and the Little Quadare entered through the Memorial Tower archway; while thosein the Big, South and East Quads (which occupy thesite of the old athletic field) are entered through the archwayof the Provosts Tower. Other beautiful archways and arcadesgive ready access to the various Quads. The thirty-two dormitory houses have accommodations formore than a thousand students. The names of the houses arecarved on tablets over the entrance doors and the houses arenamed after distinguished alumni or benefactors. The roomsand halls are heated by steam and lighted by electricity. Onevery floor there are a number of lavatories with hot and coldshower baths. Practically all of the suites and double roomsand many of the single rooms have open fireplaces.
