Summary[edit]

Description
English: I am transiting through Chicago O'Hare Airport on United Airlines, on my way from Los Angeles to Philadelphia.

This corridor, connecting Concourses B and C that make up the main hub for the pre-merger United Airlines, was opened in 1987 along with the two concourses. It is best known for the ever-changing lighting effects as seen here; the rainbow colors are a nod to United's aircraft livery as used at the time, and also appropriate due to the rainbow's association with the LGBT movement and my raves about the "Lesbian-Friendly Skies of United" since 1999.

The ambient music in the corridor is a very psychedelic piano arrangement of George Gershwin's 1924 composition, "Rhapsody in Blue," which has also been the United Airlines theme music since the 1980s. A Facebook friend of mine suggests that for maximum effect, I need to come to this corridor while drunk or stoned.

After the Continental merger, Chicago O'Hare remains the home hub for post-merger United Airlines, even though Continental's Houston Intercontinental hub is actually larger.
