Er end fjenden ej i Staden

Er det end ej Bøssepiber,
Der Jer bag Gardinet truer.
hører I ej Ildskyts Bragen,
Vogt Jer dog for andre Luer.

Truer end ej Fangelænke,
Smeddet af en sejrrig fjende,
Spindes der af Jomfruhænder
Lænker fastere den denne,

Selv jeg faldt i tryllevævet,
Som en Jomfru havde flettet,
Rosens Torne har mig såret
Men jeg elsker dem og nettet."
