Description
English: On September 17th, 2016, a historical reenactment was held by the Railroad Museum (Museo del Ferrocarril de Galicia) in Monforte de Lemos (Lugo, Spain). The event aimed to recreate the "Assault to the German Train" during World War II, which involved the ambush of a train loaded with gold.
  • The photo depicts a reenactor dressed in a replica uniform of the Wehrmacht, Nazi Germany's army, riding a military motorbike with a sidecar, contributing to the authenticity of the event.
  • The Railway Museum of Galicia in Monforte (Lugo) celebrated its tenth anniversary by recreating the historical event of the Nazis attempting to transport their gold to Berlin on a train, which was captured by American troops with tanks and artillery.
