Description
Español: Umbo de escudo vetón en bronce fragmentado, de forma de capacete semiesférico con ala alrededor. Iría sujeto al cuerpo de madera del escudo mediante clavos o remaches colocados en el ala del umbo, de los que se conserva uno y también presenta una perforación central donde podría ir otro clavo. Debido a su diámetro podría ser un umbo para un scutum" o escudo oval de tipo lateniano o de un gran escudo circular. Siglos III-II a. C. Procedencia: Necrópolis de La Osera (Chamartín, Ávila). Altura: 6 cm; grosor: 0,20 cm; diámetro: 19 cm; diámetro del remache: 2 cm. Nº inv. 1986/81/SC/330. Museo Arqueológico Nacional de España.
Català: Umbo d'escut vetón en bronze fragmentat, de forma d'capacete semiesfèric amb ala voltant. Aniria subjecte al cos de fusta de l'escut mitjançant claus o reblons col·locats en l'ala del umbo, dels quals es conserva un i també presenta una perforació central on podria anar un altre clau. A causa del seu diàmetre podria ser un umbo per a un scutum" o escut oval de tipus lateniano o d'un gran escut circular. Segles III-II a. C. Procedència: Necròpolis de la Osera (Chamartín, Àvila). Altura: 6 cm; gruix: 0,20 cm; diàmetre: 19 cm; diàmetre del rebló: 2 cm. Nº inv. 1986/81 / SC / 330. Museu Arqueològic Nacional d'Espanya.
