Description
Prince Christian was the son of King Christian V and Queen Charlotte Amalie of Denmark. In the backgound is the manor of Ibstrup (later Jægersborg). There is at least one similar painting of him, described in E. F. S. Lund, Danske Malede Portrætter, Volume V-VI-X, 2nd booklet, page 8. That was a larger version, then at Valdermar Slot.
