Description
English: NORFOLK (Aug. 5, 2011) Capt. Joe Mauser, program manager for the Tomahawk Weapons System, presents a plaque to Cmdr. Sylvester Steele, commanding officer of the guided-missile destoyer USS Stout (DDG 55) during a ceremony highlighting the March 19 combat launch of the 2,000th Tomahawk land-attack missile (TLAM) during Operation Odyssey Dawn. Odyssey Dawn was a U.S. Africa Command task force established to provide operational and tactical command and control of U.S. military forces supporting the international response to the unrest in Libya and enforcement of United Nations Security Council Resolution (UNSCR) 1973.
