Description
English: PAGO PAGO, America Samoa (March 31, 2010) Stephanie Brown, right, supervisor of salvage and diving for Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) and Navy Diver 1st Class A. J. Grun, assigned to Mobile Diving and Salvage Unit (MDSU) 1 are descending to a 106-foot depth to offload fuel from ex-USS Chehalis (AOG-48) in Pago Pago Harbor, American Samoa. Ex-USS Chehalis, a Patapsco-class gasoline tanker, sank off the coast of American Samoa nearly 60 years ago. NAVSEA and MDSU-1 assisted the U.S. Coast Guard in removing 60,546 gallons of petroleum from the sunken ship. (U.S. Navy photo/Released)
