Description
English: RIO DE JANEIRO, Brazil (July 26, 2009) Landing Craft Unit 1643, assigned to Assault Craft Unit 2 based in Little Creek, Va., transports U.S. and Brazilian Marines to the amphibious dock landing ship USS Oak Hill (LSD 51) from Governor's Island near Rio De Janeiro, Brazil. Oak Hill is participating in Southern Partnership Station '09. Southern Partnership Station is a combined naval and amphibious operation with Oak Hill and maritime forces from Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Peru, and Uruguay.
