English: NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (April 24, 2007) - A Navy patrol vessel secures the water around one of the three replicas of the Jamestown Settlement ships, the Susan Constant, Godspeed, and Discovery as the vessels transit the James River. The full-scale replicas of the ships that brought America's first permanent English colonists to Virginia in 1607 are in Hampton Roads for the start of their journey up the James River to the site of the original settlement, a signature event of America’s 400th Anniversary celebration in May.
