This is Lcpl Jason Dunham and PFC Starr at Camp Blanding, Florida. I was Dunham's team leader. These Marines were stationed at Kings Bay Naval Sub base in Georgia. Camp Blanding is where we did our field training and range time. Lcpl Dunham would later be assigned to 3/7 in California and be killed in action April 2004. In 2006 he would receive the Medal of Honor, 2009 the USS Jason Dunham DDG-109 was christened in Bath Maine. Currently she is a commissioned US Naval vessel on patrol. PFC Starr would remain at Kings Bay for his entire enlistment. Sadly he was killed in a motorcycle accident by a semi truck. This photo was taken prior to 9-11.
