(Feb. 15, 2006) – Master Chief Petty Officer of Navy (MCPON) Terry Scott testifies before the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Military Quality of Life and Veteran's Affairs. The senior enlisted members from the Marines, Army and Air Force were also present. The Navy’s top enlisted leader spoke about various quality of life issues including family housing, the success of the Thrift Savings Plan, status of Homeport Ashore for single Sailors obliged to live aboard ship while in home port, child care and enlisted education efforts.
