English: Banda Aceh, Sumatra, Indonesia (Mar. 8, 2005) – Chief Hospital Corpsman Alberto Redublo, left, and Hospital Corpsman 2nd Class Richard Cabatit, right, help Hospital Corpsman 3rd Class Ron Berard as he dons his personal protective equipment and backpack sprayer. The Hospital Corpsmen, assigned to Navy Environmental Preventive Medicine Unit Six (NEPMU-6), are spraying pesticides to kill flying insects known to spread disease. NEPMU-6 is based out of Pearl Harbor, Hawaii and is augmented by environmental and preventive medicine personnel from other units across the U.S. NEPMU-6 is currently operating in Banda Aceh on the island of Sumatra, Indonesia, and is conducting daily operations to assess health concerns including water, soil studies, disease and vector control in displaced personnel camps.
