English: Washington, D.C. (Mar. 8, 2005) – The Washington Monument is reflected in the black granite wall of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C. The memorial, designed by Maya Ying Lin, was dedicated in Nov. of 1982. The V-shaped memorial consists of two 250-foot black granite walls with the inscriptions of over 58,000 U.S. men and women’s names that were killed or missing in the Vietnam War.
