Description
English: Sasebo, Japan (Feb. 28, 2005) - Sasebo Public Works Officer, Lt. Cmdr. Brett Blanton, left, Commander, U.S. Fleet Activities Sasebo, Capt. Michael James, middle, and Director Corporate Facilities Division, NEXCOM, Virginia Beach, Capt. William Grip, use sickles to assist in the "reclamation of the land" during a Navy Exchange groundbreaking ceremony. The ceremony was led by a Shinto priest who went through the purification, prayer and nectar offering which is the first step to the construction of the new Navy Exchange on Sasebo’s main base which is due to be completed January 2006.
