Description
English: Persian Gulf (Feb. 9, 2005) – Landing Signal Officers (LSO) watch as an F/A-18C Hornet, assigned to the "Gunslingers" of Strike Fighter Squadron One Zero Five (VFA-105), lands on the flight deck aboard the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman (CVN 75) during aircraft recovery operations. The LSO's primary responsibility is the safe and expeditious recovery of fixed-wing aircraft aboard ship. Carrier Air Wing Three (CVW-3) is embarked aboard Truman and is providing close air support and conducting intelligence surveillance and reconnaissance over Iraq.
