(Feb. 4, 2005) - Special Warfare Combatant-craft Crewman (SWCC) and Boat Captain, Quartermaster 2nd Class Cliff Byrd, left, explains to Vice Chief of Naval Operations (VCNO) Adm. John Nathman, the various crew stations in the cockpit of the MARK V Special Operations Craft during his visit to the Naval Special Warfare community in San Diego, Calif. The Mark V is used to carry Special Operations Forces, primarily SEAL combat swimmers, into and out of operations where the threat to these forces is considered to be low to medium.
