Description
English: Pacific Ocean (Feb. 3, 2005) - Interior Communications Electrician 3rd Class Steven Norton of Buena Park, Calif., adjusts the “Pole”, a measuring stick for the Improved Fresnal Lens Optical Landing System (IFLOLS) aboard the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76). IFLOLS is a system designed to visually aid pilots to safe landings aboard aircraft carriers. Ronald Reagan is currently underway in the Pacific Ocean conducting routine carrier operations.
