English: Rota, Spain (Dec. 9, 2003) – The U.S. Navy’s guided missile destroyer USS Cole (DDG 67) sits moored at Pier 3 Naval Station Rota, Spain. This is the Cole’s first port visit following their transit from Norfolk, Va. Cole stopped in Rota, before continuing with their first overseas deployment since the tragic bombing by terrorists in the port of Aden, Yemen, Oct. 12, 2000.
