Description
English: Marine Corp Air Station (MCAS) Miramar, San Diego, Calif. (Oct. 29, 2003) -- Chief Aviaition Warfare Systems Operator Randall Elekins and Chief Aviation Machinist’s Mate David McElhiney Bellows, assigned to the “Golden Gaters” of Helicopter Combat Support Squadron Eighty Five (HC-85) prepare a "Bambi” bucket which will be connected to a UH-3H Sea King helicopter. The bucket can hold 324 gallons of water weighing 3000 lbs., and will be used for training flights and aircraft certification for Navy personnel to assist in fire fighting efforts against wildfires raging throughout Southern Calif.
