Description
English: National Naval Medical Center, Bethesda, Md., (Aug. 22, 2003) -- The MedModeler builds a three dimensional full-scale model of part of a patient's face at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Md. Data for the machine is created three magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), then created as a precise 3-D image before it is fed to the machine. The models can allow doctors to study an area without probative surgery and build a replacement structure based on the model. U.S. Navy photo by Chief Warrant Officer 4 Seth Rossman. (RELEASED)
