Description
English: Racine, Wis. (Jul. 25, 2003) -- Dr. Jon Clark, husband of the late Astronaut, Capt. Laurel Clark, hugs his son in the middle of the “dancing waters” fountain, downtown Racine, located on the shore of Lake Michigan. The fountain was dedicated in the honor of Dr. Laurel S. Clark. In e-mail messages from space, Astronaut Clark often spoke of seeing Lake Michigan on whose shores her hometown lies. Clark was one of the seven astronauts who died aboard the space shuttle Columbia on February 1st, 2003. U.S. Navy photo by Photographer’s Mate 1st class Michael Worner. (RELEASED)
