Description
English: Rayong, Thailand (Jun. 10, 2003) -- Lt. Shrikanth Ragavajan, left, a member of the Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training (CARAT) medical and dental civic action project team, along with volunteer assistant, U.S. Marine Capt. David Standing from Landing Force CARAT, provides dental services to a local community member as a Royal Thai armed forces member looks on. Hundreds from the local community took advantage of the free, combined medical and dental project at the Ban Takrao Thong School, which was scheduled as part of the Thailand phase of CARAT. CARAT is a regularly scheduled series of bilateral military training exercises between the U.S. and several Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN). Lt. Ragavajan is assigned to the amphibious dock landing ship USS Harpers Ferry (LSD 49) and Capt. Standing is assigned to Headquarters and Service Company, Combat Assault Battalion, 3rd Marine Division, Okinawa, Japan. U.S. Navy photo by Lt. Chuck Bell. (RELEASED)
