Description
English: Arabian Gulf (Mar. 2, 2003) -- Fire Controlman 3rd Class Adrian Herevia conducts preventative maintenance and corrosion inspection on the gun barrel for a Close In Weapons System (CIWS) aboard the assault ship USS Kearsarge (LHD 3). Kearsarge is currently deployed as the flagship of Amphibious Task Force East (ATF-E) in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. U.S. Navy photo by Photographer's Mate 3rd Class Angel Roman-Otero.
