Description
English: At sea aboard USS Kitty Hawk (CV 63) Oct. 26, 2002 -- USS Kitty Hawk receives fuel from the Military Sealift Command (MSC) ship USNS Rappahannock (T-AO 204) during an underway replenishment. Replenishment of fuel and supplies while at sea allow Navy ships to remain on station indefinitely. Kitty Hawk is the Navy’s only permanently forward-deployed aircraft carrier and operates out of Yokosuka, Japan. U.S. Navy photo by Photographer’s Mate Airman Raul Quinones. (RELEASED)
