Summary[edit]

Description The U.S. Navy guided missile cruiser USS South Carolina (CGN-37) anchored off Tangier, Morocco in February, 1982. The flight deck of the aircraft carrier USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN-69) is visible in the foreground, with Ling-Temco-Vought A-7E Corsair II from Attack Squadron 12 (VA-12) "Flying Ubangis" and VA-66 "Waldos", and Grumman A-6E Intruder form VA-65 "Tigers". Dwight D. Eisenhower, with assigned Carrier Air Wing 7 (CVW-7), was deployed to the Mediterranean Sea from 5 January to 13 July 1982.
