Description Cuban Missile Crisis, 1962: The U.S. Navy destroyer USS Mullinnix (DD-944) and the Venezuelan destroyer ARV Zulia (D-21) leave the U.S. Naval Station Trinidad, on the first mission of the joint US-Latin American quarantine task force on 12 November 1962. Mullinnix was the force flagship.
