| Description |
English: Temporary foresails made by cargo nets and wood were put on Intrepid's forecastle deck and the underside of the flight deck, after she lost steering control at February 17 night, when a torpedo struck and jammed her rudder.
Photos were taken when Intrepid was four days before reaching Pearl Harbor at 24, so the copyright belongs to US Navy; photo available online from Researcher@large, which only preserve formatting and comments copyright, so there should be no permission problem. Photo was cropped to remove caption. |
