English: The U.S. Military Sealift Command fleet ocean tug USNS Sioux (T-ATF-171) tows the Royal Canadian Navy replenishment oiler HMCS Protecteur (AOR 509) into Pearl Harbor, Hawaii (USA). Protecteur suffered a fire and breakdown 340 nautical miles northeast of Pearl Harbor, Hawaii (USA). She was moving at limited speeds and the U.S. Navy ships USS Michael Murphy (DDG-112), Chosin, and USNS Sioux (T-ATF-171) were dispatched to assist, with the Sioux later towing Protecteur to Hawaii after Chosin´s rope broke. |
