English: Seaman Nathaniel Novak, a corpsman with Combat Logistics Battalion 6, 1st Marine Logistics Group (Forward), receives a congratulatory handshake from 1st Sgt. Raquel Painter, company first sergeant, Headquarters and Support Company, CLB-6, 1st MLG (FWD) during a brief ceremony here, June 2. Novak, a native of Brooklyn, Mich., received his Fleet Marine Force qualification along with two fellow corpsmen within the battalion and spent several months preparing for the testing process. To receive the qualification, sailors must display general Marine Corps knowledge and demonstrate their understanding in everything from unit organization, mission and equipment and must pass a series of written, oral and hands-on examinations. |
